Zoldonat* is a prescription-only bisphosphonate medication containing Zoledronic Acid (4 mg). Presented as a sterile, lyophilized powder for intravenous infusion, it works by binding to bone minerals and slowing down the activity of osteoclasts—the cells responsible for bone breakdown. This targeted mechanism makes it highly effective in treating or preventing bone complications associated with advanced malignancies, such as multiple myeloma or bone metastases from solid tumors. It is also used to treat tumor-induced hypercalcemia (critically high calcium levels). Administration requires strict medical supervision, careful dose monitoring, and proper hydration.
