Cytotam 10 contains Tamoxifen Citrate (10 mg), which belongs to a class of medications called selective estrogen receptor (SERMs). It works by binding to estrogen receptors in breast cancer cells, thereby blocking the effects of estrogen, which many breast tumors rely on to grow and spread. It is widely prescribed for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in both premenopausal and postmenopausal women, and as a preventative measure for high-risk individuals. Each box contains 100 tablets (packaged as 10 x 10 strips). Patients should be regular with monitoring due to side effects like hot flashes, fatigue, or mood shifts.
