BIAPEN™ 300 is a sterile, carbapenem-class broad-spectrum antibiotic containing 300 mg of Biapenem for injection. Supplied by BDR, it is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe bacterial infections, including those caused by antibiotic-resistant strains. Common applications include intra-abdominal infections, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and various skin and soft tissue infections. Biapenem works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, providing a potent and rapid bactericidal effect. The medication must be reconstituted under aseptic conditions and administered strictly as an intravenous (IV) infusion over a specified period, under the direct supervision of a healthcare professional in a clinical setting.
