Cytodrox 500mg capsules

Cytodrox contains Hydroxyurea (500 mg), an antimetabolite that interferes with DNA synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme ribonucleotide reductase. It is primarily prescribed to manage certain types of cancers, such as chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck, and specific blood disorders like polycythemia vera. Additionally, it helps reduce the frequency of painful crises in patients with severe sickle cell anemia by increasing fetal hemoglobin levels. Each pack contains 100 capsules (10 x 10 blister strips). Regular blood tests are mandatory to monitor bone marrow function and avoid potential side effects like severe myelosuppression.
