TAVIN-EM® is a fixed-dose combination prescription antiretroviral medication containing Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate and Emtricitabine, provided in a 30-tablet pack. Functioning as Nucleoside/Nucleotide Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors (NRTIs), these two active components work in tandem to block the reverse transcriptase enzyme vital for viral replication. TAVIN-EM® is heavily utilized alongside other antiretroviral agents to manage and treat HIV-1 infections, effectively reducing viral load and strengthening the immune system. Additionally, it is indicated for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) to reduce the risk of sexually acquired HIV-1 in high-risk individuals. Strict medical supervision is required throughout the therapy duration.
