Stelara®

Stelara® 45 mg/0.5 mL (Ustekinumab) is an advanced targeted prescription biologic indicated for treating moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, active psoriatic arthritis, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis. Functioning as a humanized IgG1κ monoclonal antibody, it operates via a specific mechanism of action that targets and blocks the p40 subunit of interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interleukin-23 (IL-23) cytokines. By neutralizing these key inflammatory signaling pathways, Stelara® effectively controls the immune-mediated overactivation responsible for chronic tissue inflammation. Administered via a prefilled syringe for subcutaneous injection, the maintenance dosing is typically delivered once every eight to twelve weeks following initial induction therapy.
