Medical Info

Avastin™ (bevacizumab) is a prescription medicine used in combination with chemotherapy to treat various types of advanced cancers. As shown in image_8.png, it is a target-specific medication belonging to a class known as angiogenesis inhibitors. It works by binding to a protein called vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), preventing the growth of new blood vessels that feed and support tumor expansion. Avastin™ is administered exclusively by healthcare professionals via an intravenous infusion. It is supplied in a 100 mg single-use vial, and it is crucial to discard any unused portion because it contains no preservatives.
