LENALID 25 is a prescription immunomodulatory medication containing Lenalidomide (25 mg) as its active ingredient. It works via a multi-faceted mechanism, modifying the immune system to help identify and destroy abnormal cells, while directly inhibiting the growth of certain cancer cells and blocking the blood supply tumors need to survive. This targeted therapy is primarily prescribed for the treatment of specific hematological malignancies, including multiple myeloma (often in combination with other therapies) and transfusion-dependent anemia caused by myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). Due to potential risks, it must be taken under strict medical supervision.
