ABSTET®, manufactured by Biocon, contains 250 mg of Abiraterone Acetate per tablet. It is a potent CYP17 inhibitor indicated for use in combination with prednisone or prednisolone for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) and metastatic high-risk castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSCPC). By inhibiting the CYP17 enzyme complex, this medication suppresses androgen synthesis in the testes, adrenal glands, and prostate tumor tissues, effectively slowing tumor progression. Packaged as a 120-tablet supply, this oncology therapy must be administered strictly on an empty stomach and under direct medical supervision.
