Pneumovax® 23 is an advanced, 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine manufactured by MSD to protect against invasive pneumococcal infections. Formulated as a single-dose 0.5mL solution in a pre-filled syringe with an attached needle, it contains purified capsular polysaccharides from 23 different serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae.
