X-vir

X-VIR® is a prescription antiviral medication containing Entecavir (0.5 mg) as its active ingredient. It belongs to a class of drugs known as nucleoside analogues and is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in adults with evidence of active viral replication. It works by selectively inhibiting the hepatitis B virus polymerase enzyme, which effectively blocks the virus’s ability to replicate and multiply within liver cells. By lowering the viral load to minimal levels, X-VIR® helps reduce liver inflammation, prevents long-term liver damage, and decreases the risk of developing complications such as cirrhosis or liver cancer. It is intended strictly for oral use under medical supervision.
