Superpenem®

Superpenem® is a powerful combination prescription antibiotic containing Imipenem and Cilastatin (500mg). Imipenem belongs to the carbapenem class and works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, offering broad-spectrum activity against severe Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. Cilastatin is added to prevent the degradation of imipenem by renal enzymes, ensuring optimal therapeutic drug levels in the body. Superpenem® is indicated for complex intra-abdominal infections, severe lower respiratory tract infections, gynecological infections, and septicemia.
